Outdoor Areas

We are so lucky at our school to have such wonderful outdoor spaces where our children can explore, learn, and play. Outdoor learning is such an important part of what we do, it helps children develop confidence, curiosity, teamwork, and a real love of the natural world.

As you can imagine, keeping these areas well-resourced and ready for learning can be quite a challenge! Many of our outdoor materials get lots of use (which is wonderful to see!), but that also means we’re often in need of replenishing them. Behind the scenes, we’ve been working hard to enhance our outdoor areas, everything from our big tidy-up today, where the children were amazing at gardening and getting our spaces ready for autumn and winter, to applying for grants to help us purchase some larger items.

However, there are also many ways that you can help. If you happen to have any of the items shown in the photos below at home, we’d be so grateful for donations. Or perhaps you have a friend or family member who works for a local business that might be willing to contribute, every little bit makes a big difference! Some of the photos show things that we would need to make however lots of the smaller, loose parts and things like pots and pans etc may be something you have at home and no longer need. Of course, if you know someone who has the skills to make some of the larger items please let us know too!

Nothing is too small, and every donation will be warmly received and put to good use by our class teachers and wonderful children.

Thank you, as always, for your continued support, it really helps us make our outdoor learning spaces the very best they can be.
