The Four Purposes outline the overarching goals of education in Wales and provide a vision for what learners should achieve by the end of their compulsory schooling. They aim to prepare young people to become:
- Ethical, informed citizens who are ready to be active participants in society.
- Enterprising, creative contributors who are willing to take risks and learn from their experiences.
- Ambitious, capable learners who are eager to learn throughout their lives.
- Healthy, confident individuals who can face challenges and make informed decisions.
The image below shows the four purposes of the Curriculum for Wales and how they align with our school values:
Throughout the school, teachers consider the Four Purposes when planning for all teaching and learning experiences that children will have.
The children reflect upon how they have demonstrated our school values regularly.
