Please help us to help you!

  • Make medical /dental appointments after school or in the holidays
  • Take family holidays in the school holidays
  • ALWAYS let us know if your child is absent
  • If your child is ill, phone the school before 9:30am on their FIRST day of absence

We can’t teach children if they are not here!

Please note- it is important that your child does not attend school if they are unwell. If they have sickness and/or diarrhoea they must not attend school for 48 after the last bought of sickness/diarrhoea.

We understand there can be tricky times and so we offer our full support with any attendance issue-keeping us in the loop is the key! Please do not hesitate to contact us of there are ever any problems.

Late for School ?

When your child arrives late at school, they miss important events like registration, basic skills time, guided reading, instruction and introductions to new work.

Frequent lateness can add up to a considerable amount of learning lost and can seriously disadvantage your child.

Minutes late per day Equates to days of teaching lost in one year Which means this number of lessons missed
5 minutes 3.5 days 17 lessons
10 minutes 7 days 35 lessons
15 minutes 10.5 days 52 lessons
20 minutes 14 days 70 lessons
30 minutes 21 days 104 lessons

Attendance Matters!
