Estyn Report

 

We are absolutely delighted to share our fantastic Estyn report. Over the past year, Ysgol Acrefair has undergone many exciting changes, and we are incredibly proud of how our staff, governors and, most importantly, our children have embraced them. The improvements to our learning environment, along with developments in the way we teach literacy and mathematics, have been recognised in the report and reflect the hard work of our whole school community.

We are especially proud that Estyn praised our pupils, noting that they “work well with others and behave very well, contributing to a calm and purposeful learning environment.” This is a wonderful reflection of the fantastic children we are privileged to work with every day.

Some highlights of the report include recognition of the strong leadership in our school, the exemplary behaviour of our children and the design of our school curriculum, for which our wonderful teachers deserve great credit for their hard work, creativity and commitment.

Thank you to everyone who has contributed to this success. We are proud to be part of such a supportive and caring community and are excited for the future, including celebrating 150 years of Ysgol Acrefair next year and welcoming more visits from our new school dog, Ronnie! 🐾💙
