We have been made aware that there have been a few cases of Strep A among children. If your child has a sore throat and is feeling unwell, we recommend visiting a pharmacist, where a quick test can be done to check for the infection. Strep A is easily treated with antibiotics, and children can usually return to school the day after starting treatment.
