We were very fortunate to welcome a storyteller to school this week, who worked with four of our classes. Fiona was a fantastic storyteller, and every child was fully engaged throughout her workshops.
In Dosbarth Gwdihw, Fiona told the story of Melangell. In Dosbarth Llwynog, she shared an amazing story. In Dosbarth Robin Goch, she told the tale of The Golden Harp. She explained where the story was set and brought to life the magical world of harps and the Tylwyth Teg—the enchanted folk of Wales. The children loved drawing different harps, dressing up as Tylwyth Teg, and creating music to help retell the story. It was a wonderfully creative workshop. In Dosbarth Gwennol, Fiona told the story of Rhita Gawr.
The children thoroughly enjoyed their sessions, and we are grateful to Fiona for bringing such rich storytelling experiences to our school.
