Well, we’ve gone from keeping fingers crossed for dry weather last year (and running in the rain at some points!) to thinking about how to keep everyone cool and comfortable during sports day tomorrow! Don’t you love the British weather?!
We plan to start our sports day for Year 3-6 at 1:15pm and invite you to join us in the marked parts of the field to watch (this will be centre of the field as it was last year). The children will move around the different activities and then join together to support each other in the races.
As mentioned the forecast is hot so please make sure your child has sun cream on in the morning- they are also welcome to bring their sun cream in to reapply at lunchtime. Sun hats are also important please.
We will everyone chance to refill their water bottles at lunchtime in preparation however if you would like to pack an extra drink tomorrow too then this is also fine.
We won’t be able to dismiss any children from the field at the end and instead ask that you join us back on the school yard where we will dismiss children through the normal doors, so that we can make sure everyone goes home safely.
