Ready, Steady, Read!
March 7th is World Book Day.
We love reading at Ysgol Acrefair and part of our current school development plan is encouraging children to read for pleasure. Due to your kind support of our book fairs etc, we have been able to purchase a number of beautiful new books across the school. The children have thoroughly enjoyed reading these but we always need more!
We will be holding a sponsored read event next week as part of our reading celebrations.
Laura Rowlands our local Usborne book contact will be launching the ‘Ready Steady Read’ event in our whole school assembly on Monday 4th March.
Please read the attached letter for more information and an electronic version of the sponsor form for you to use if you wish. We will be sending home a paper copy of the sponsor form with the children on Friday
