Good morning! We hope you have had a lovely summer, despite the weather. We are busy preparing our school ready to welcome back all the children tomorrow – we can’t wait to see them! There have been a few changes since July, so please spare a moment to read through the following:
SCHOOL MEALS: As part of the Welsh Government free meals for all, from tomorrow all year groups will receive a hot meal from our kitchen. Whilst this is being rolled out we anticipate there will be teething problems so for this week we will take menu choices in class.
BREAKFAST CLUB: Wrexham Council have informed us that there is a change to Breakfast Club charges. Whilst breakfast remains free, they are increasing the cost to cover staffing the sessions. Therefore the new charges are:
07:50 to 08:20 – £2 per child for non-free school meals / 50p for free school meals
08:20 to 08:40 – Free to all (note that 08:30 is the cut-off time for admission into the club)
UNIFORM: All children are expected to wear school uniform. It is not essential that you purchase official uniform with logos. Class teachers will let you know which days your child will have PE. Our PE uniform is strictly plain black joggers/shorts and plain white t-shirt with pumps/trainers. The weather is predicted to be hot this week so please ensure your child has sunscreen applied before school and has a sun hat with them.
SNACKS: All children should have a water bottle (PRIME/Fruit Shoots are not allowed), and a healthy snack. Foundation phase staff will notify you if they provide snacks for a small charge.
SCHOOL TIMES: School starts at 08:50 prompt. Doors are open at 08:45. Please try your best to be on time.
