Important information – ParentPay


We have nearly a quarter of the school expecting a school meal today that hasn’t been ordered by their parent/guardian on ParentPay.  The system allows you to pre-book meals up to 3 weeks in advance and should your child be ill on a day you have ordered, the money stays on their account.  You are only charged for meals that are taken on the day.

ParentPay has been in operation for almost 2 years and although we appreciate it takes up some of your time in ordering meals unless this is done the cook has no idea on quantities of ingredients to order and prepare.  Starting from next week those who have no orders on the system will receive a sandwich, fruit and a drink.  

With the introduction of Universal Free School Meals teachers cannot be expected to use valuable learning time to place dinner orders for their class.  This morning one class alone took 20 minutes to take meal orders and relay to the kitchen.

It is really important to remember that even if your child is in receipt of Free School Meals, you still need to order meal choices on ParentPay.
