Wrexham County Borough Council is providing free swimming lessons for children who are weak or non-swimmers in the school years 4-6.
These lessons will run weekly at Plas Madoc Leisure Centre on a Monday at 4.00pm and will not require parents to collect their children early from school. Lessons will be taken by a qualified swimming teacher, with the benefit of having smaller class sizes with others of similar ability.
The aim of the lessons is for children to become more confident in water but also, where possible, to reach the required National Curriculum standard.
