It’s been a busy week which began with a visit to Ysgol Dinas Bran for a Blast off day! We had a wonderful time making our rockets, working in the science labs and eventually making them Blast Off!
Then on Tuesday lots of us were out again and off to cross country at Ty Mawr which was difficult but lots of fun and a huge achievement to complete. We loved supporting each other and the Year 4 children. Those of us back in school had a brilliant morning working with the other children in the pioneers phase, working on some beautiful artwork with an autumn theme.
We’ve also been working hard in literacy this week, we’ve found out whether Beowulf did defeat the monster Grendel and have been preparing to write newspaper articles to tell the rest of the world that Heorot is now free! We’ve been working on column subtraction in maths and doing some wonderful Mole missions linked to our inquiry too.
We are very ready for a break now after lots of hard work this half term. Our teachers are very proud of how we have settled into Year 6 and are excited to see us back in school after the break.
