Year 6

We have had an incredibly busy half term in Dosbarth Barcud. We have been writing a persuasive piece of writing in literacy and studied the novel Pig Heart Boy.

Or topic this term is Heart and Pulse and we have been doing lots of maths and science around the topic.

This week we have been looking at probability using words, fractions, decimals and percentages. We have written flashbacks, discussed the advantages and disadvantages of Cameron having a Pig Heart and retold the story using just 50 words. In science we completed scatter diagrams in science for our lung capacity investigation.

This is our first week without Miss Jones who has gone on maternity leave. We can’t wait to find out if it will be a boy or a girl (the class will tell you the probability).

VIPs this week are Archie Davies for fantastic literacy work and Lana Hughes for always trying her best in every subject.
