Year 1 parents advise to test message from TTP

Dear parents,
I have received this message from TTP this evening.  Please note that this is a late message and the dates have already passed. However, please keep a close eye on your child and isolate and test if they display any symptoms .
ADVISE TO TEST

Message from Wrexham Test, Trace & Protect Team

Dear Parent/Carer,
Your child (in Year 1) has been identified as a close contact of a confirmed case of Covid 19. However, due to current guidance, children under the age of 18 years old no longer need to isolate unless they start to display symptoms.
The advice from Public Health Wales is that if your child is aged between 5 and 18 years old, and is not within 90 days of a previously positive PCR test, then they should take a PCR test on as soon as possible and again on 20.11.21. This free test can be booked online (www.gov.uk/get-coronavirus-test) or by calling 119.
In the meantime, if your child starts to display any symptoms of Covid-19 , please do not send your child to any Educational setting, and arrange for a PCR test to be taken as soon as possible.

Regards,

TTP Team.
