Important

We’re making no apologies for the attention seeking title!
There have been two separate incidents this morning where staff have had near misses with children running out from cars near the car park.  We can’t stress enough that children of all ages should be supervised when crossing the entrance.  Please don’t drive into the car park to drop children off, it’s really dark and when staff drive in it’s really difficult to spot little ones.
We’ve also been concerned to see cars dropping children off for breakfast and driving away.  Children from reception to Year 3 are to be accompanied to the breakfast club door for their own safety.  We know everyone is busy in the morning to get to work or to appointments but before the children enter the school building they are your own responsibility.
The safety of the children is our priority but we also have had staff that came into school this morning upset after nearly colliding with children.

The area outside school isn’t ideal, we know, and it’s something that we would love to be able to change but with lack of funding from WCBC we are having to make do with the entrances/exits we have.

Thank you for your understanding.
