Please can we urge everyone who drops children off at school in the morning to be as vigilant as possible in holding onto children’s hands and making sure that they do not walk out from behind parked cars.

This morning we have had an extremely near miss, where a child was very nearly hit by a car as they walked across the gate to the entrance of the staff car park.

We appreciate that there are times of the day where the road, which is already narrow, becomes very busy but this only makes it more important that children are reminded to follow road safety rules and that everyone makes sure that their children are properly supervised. It is only by doing this that we can ensure that all children are safe as they come to and from school.

Many thanks.
